I quit at about 100 pages when the male lead, a Hispanic Cop, is "lovingly" called "wetback" by a fellow cop-several times. That's a pet peeve for me-besides being terribly racist, I don't really think people in the "real world" call each other things like this, especially if at the very least you're not the same race:(. To top it off, she had the police chief, even though in a major metropolitan city like Dallas, sound "ultra hillbilly", like a bad Boss Hogg knock off. Authors-PLEASE stop stereotyping Southerners!
